In 2014, preparations were on foot in both Cairo and Doha for what was to be a monumental event.

Interior Qatar was to launch its first edition. and while logistics and production took the lead, there was no brand in sight. In cairo, the creative team rushed to complete the picture, setting a brand language that is minimalistic but captivating. Color was used boldly to accent a very simple composition. Boldness and simplicity resulted in creating visuals that are recognizable in both large and small applications, without compromising the calm elegance the rand envisions.

THE CHALLENGE

Time was extremely important, deadlines were very close, and production was split between two countries. Yet everything had to raise the bar once more. The scale meant that there are different teams of production for each channel.

THE RESPONSE

The reasonable option was to simplify as much as possible each step. Brand assets had to be consistent, easy to reproduce in different materials.

he choice was to create a simple yet powerful mark.

The logo easily reads (IQ 14) which is the shorthand used to market the event. Then comes color, changing in hue and shape to add a fresh look to a cutting edge event.
